This is the one they partnered with BMW. While it has a lot of new amazing tech I doubt it will be anywhere near as reliable as a standard Toyota motor."i'm gonna get one when the motor in this Camry goes"
LOL @ it's surprisingly easy to work on - then they proceed to take the hood off, the front bumper off, the radiator off, the exhaust off and remove the engine by dropping it down - only to find the timing chain is at the back of the engine so there's no way to mount the engine to a standard engine mount without making some modifications.Pretty cool tech went into this.
Cool video but I sometimes was wondering if I was watching on fast forward. Guy talks fast.LOL @ it's surprisingly easy to work on - then they proceed to take the hood off, the front bumper off, the radiator off, the exhaust off and remove the engine by dropping it down - only to find the timing chain is at the back of the engine so there's no way to mount the engine to a standard engine mount without making some modifications.
Sounds super easy.
Cool video though, although everyone knows he just made it so he knows how to put it all back together.
A lot of times they take those vids and play them at 1.5X speed to make them shorter.Cool video but I sometimes was wondering if I was watching on fast forward. Guy talks fast.
Toyota had BMW basically reengineer it because it wouldn't meet Toyota's reliability requirements. This is the one they partnered with BMW. While it has a lot of new amazing tech I doubt it will be anywhere near as reliable as a standard Toyota motor.

Can you hook me up with a Tacoma for cheap Bruv? I know you got the connectionsToyota had BMW basically reengineer it because it wouldn't meet Toyota's reliability requirements.
$500 over list. Can you hook me up with a Tacoma for cheap Bruv? I know you got the connections
Engine and motor can be used interchangeably for internal combustion engines.*engine
It's the standard B58 that BMW has been using for several years.Toyota had BMW basically reengineer it because it wouldn't meet Toyota's reliability requirements.
No BruvEngine and motor can be used interchangeably for internal combustion engines.
I was always taught that a motor was electric.Engine and motor can be used interchangeably for internal combustion engines
I wanna go back before 2006.Welcome to 2006.
Semantics are only important when you’re semetic. No Bruv
Semantics are important
And @JonJonesBeard is a licensed mechanic don’t you try to tell him about vehicles now.
With the way language works, keep doing that and maybe one day it will be true.I was always taught that a motor was electric.
And an engine ran on fuel.

On Wikipedia, motor and engine both direct to the same article.

Engines generate power, motors consume power.Engine and motor can be used interchangeably for internal combustion engines.
Incorrect. The car isn't quite as BMW as it's made out to be.It's the standard B58 that BMW has been using for several years.
Very interesting. Tell me more about these power generating engines. Engines/motors convert energy from one form(e.g., gasoline, electrical energy, compressed air) to mechanical energy.Engines generate power, motors consume power.
Can you please give me a list of electrical "engines"?Engines/motors convert energy from one form(e.g., gasoline, electrical energy, compressed air) to mechanical energy.
