YepIf you don't go through a proxy, he totally could if he chose to collect that information. It may not be totally accurate, but for most people he can probably tell what region you're in, what operating system you're on/device you're most likely using, the browser you're using, and the name of the network you're coming through - for instance, some larger companies and institutions have named networks, so if you go to school at U. Miami, and post from there while connected to their wi-fi, he can probably see that there was a connection made from the miami.edu network.
He may choose to not collect that information, or if he's collecting it, he may not be looking to associate those stats with you personally and your account, idk. But if you use a straight up regular connection, I'm pretty sure he can often see that info if he wants to. You can avoid sharing it by using the tor browser or going through a proxy service, which runs you through a different IP, usually in a different country.
I personally have accepted that @Splinty can pretty much guess where I work and live and I don't really mind because I am naive and believe he's a decent guy with a life and is probably is too busy to care to look anyway.
I have administered websites before and have seen a few different usage stats programs, and I have been able to see this info about users.
Basically, I trust Splinty
If he is a CIA agent then he has all my info, but CIA probably has all my/our info anyways.
