I've had more than one argument with southerners who swear to me that the words "pen" and "pin" are pronounced the same way smh...

I don't know why I'm commenting on funny southern dialects, I say "please" when I don't hear what someone said. I think it's a midwest thing. It gets me a lot of weird responses when I'm somewhere else in the country.

Although lately I've been saying "Sorry" when I don't hear something.

Maybe I need to get my ears checked.
