Californication was a phenomenal album, it’s too bad they kept re-recording it over and over again.
I liked mothers milk more than bssm but to each their own. Californication proved that they could change into a much mellower sound but still make great music.
The summer that Californication came out was a really awesome summer for me, I have really fond memories of it.

I think One Hot Minute was incredibly underrated too, but many didn't like it because it had Dave Navarro and not John Frusciante

Most on here are not old enough to know what they were, they were a poor man's Motley Crue. Forgettable at best. And now they are deemed the godfathers of Trash. Just like Led Zeppelin, they're untouchable. It doesn't matter whethert hey stole their shit or whether Page is a kiddy toucher. People stay with their bands.
Phil wasn't in the band until Power Metal, and Power Metal wasn't really glam at all. Death Trap is a great song.
