2 feet in some areas.

Pretty nuts
how do the lights stay on
good design and install

I assume that area floods some every few years

43 inches of rain is crazy...that is a year or two worth for many areas

I would definitely put my boats to use to help out those who are in need

although that much water would overwhelm our dams and probably make them collapse and wash me to sea

How much rain have you had over there so far Splinty @Splinty?

I’ve been watching the radar a bit today and it looked like Houston was getting it good. Nothing but clouds and sprinkles here so far.

i have a cousin who lives down that way now, marked herself safe on FB...
but if you're from the Mississippi River valley, you know when it's time to get to high ground. :)

Hurricane Harvey was the craziest flooding I've ever seen in the U.S.

That's ih10 outside of Beaumont. That's where some of the above pics are from.
I know people in the area. Current flooding is within 2 feet of Harvey for some neighborhoods. So not as bad, but its an unnamed storm. So this is nuts.

Houston random. Some bad, some not so much.
East of Houston destroyed at near Harvey levels.

Since I posted earlier I’ve had a chance to get caught up a bit. I was just looking at rain totals. Looks like the Beaumont area was about the worst, but north-northeast of Houston got hammered too. In those areas I was seeing rainfall #s between 13 to 19 inches (and those only represent the last 24 hours). That’s intense, and a tremendous volume of water.

Hope you’re all good, stay safe and dry.
