It's Kung Fu Hustle, hands down.
It may be somewhat highly regarded, but nowhere near where it should be.
As a multiple hybrid quasi-spiritual martial arts/comedy, it stands alone.
It has to be one of the top 50 films ever produced worldwide.

The acting, cinematography, screenplay, soundtrack, editing, and subtle/smart humor combine to create a masterpiece of work, from start to finish.

Ah fucking awesome
Like I said previously
We had a video store
And we had a decent ninja section.
Rest assured
Sho Kosugi was in it. Oh yeah.

Hahahaha, Best of the Best !

thanks for posting that one LOL - that movie was so shocking and so hardcore, when I was in 2nd grade. I loved it !!!
Some scenes I distinctly remember until today :D

Actually, I did search for that movie and actually watched it again a few years ago. It's unbelieveable that today I am older than the cowboy guy and that the technique of the guy who fights 2nd to last, who does the backflip, has a son and a dislocated shoulder - the actor's actual fighting technique is beyond ridiculously bad :D

Martial Arts movies RULE !

I will humbly add The Base - part 2 as a perhaps lesser known entry.

Otherwise, Karate Tiger 3 (JCVD vs Tong Po) and Mortal Kombat
