Every time you think Jon Jones is finally free and clear of his many troubles outside the Octagon, the reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion finds new and creative ways to get himself in hot water.

Most of which, in true “Bones” fashion, was completely avoidable.

It seems Jones was hit with multiple state and federal tax liens over the last couple of years in excess of $1 million, according to Bloody Elbow. In addition to delinquent income tax charges, the Albuquerque resident was past due on his city utilities and even had a personal storage unit put up for auction.

He probably should have used some of that “$8 million in cash” on something other than strippers.

The good news for Jones is that he recently satisfied all outstanding debts, though you have to wonder how the heck he ended up in this mess to begin with, particularly with so many managers and agents supposedly having his back.

I guess Coach Wink was right about that old “company you keep” maxim

The JJ haters are coming off almost as silly as the Orange man bad gang. They will cling to anything , no matter how far fetched, just to smear Jons good name.

Very easy to fall into trouble with this kind of thing.

Tax issues get insanely complicated the more money you make.

The only thing that surprises me about Jon continually is how you have two brothers who played in the NFL and don't already have a whole infrastructure of accountants, PR spinners and "nutritionists" around you to mitigate these many disasters.

Narcissists are the star of their own fantasy world. To do the things you're suggesting would mean they'd have to admit they have short comings or lack a skill set to be successful. Even when Jon has clearly shit the bed or has had an underwhelming performance he speaks as though nothing wrong has happened. It's crazy to watch him reason his way out of situations.

That's definitely accurate, but I'm just surprised a whole squad wasn't assembled at the Jones house the minute that first football or UFC contract was signed. If Lavar Ball can do it, wtf with the Jones boys? Maybe their mom was damage control. I know she passed not long ago and weirdly not one MMA media member has asked Jones how it's affected him.

I know nothing about his brothers. Are they much like Jon in their behaviour?

At some point when dealing with someone like that it becomes pointless to help or advise them...waste of energy and zero possibility of success.

I think most around Jon are past that point.

Just my guess from dealing with that personality type.

I didn't know his mom passed recently. That is terrible.

For all you know, there is a team and it's the only reason why things aren't worse. ;)
