LOL. Wonder how he feels about ISIS then........ Guess we'll find out once they're back on the block.
that's how the world rolls~ a country occupies another to force their ideology and continues to do so while occupied, then when they leave another try to occupy and force their own ideology.

then a new group of organization or nation is born and they'll rule until another stronger nation or organization comes along, either fight to resist and win or lose and get taken over again.

everyone who wants to defend the Kurds thinks that there is some magical ending, usually what everyone is pushing for is to strengthen the weak until they can defend on their own which is nothing but fantasy because as soon as the so called "helpers" leave, it starts back to ground zero.

what do you think is going to happen in Afghanistan as soon as the US pull out? same shit as before the US went there. Taliban will take control

Defending the kurds is about defending our allies. This withdrawal shows the U.S. isn't trustworthy and will have no allies.
Trump was busy bragging about how we'd 'defeated' ISIS. And now he's given them the chance to come right back - effectively shooting himself in the foot.
Since you're so gung-ho about the U.S. pulling out of everywhere, how come I don't see you feel the same way about sending more troops to Saudi Arabia? Why aren't you advocating for pulling troops out of Saudi Arabia?

What the Media Aren't Telling You About Turkey and the Kurds - Antiwar.com Original

"The Syrian Kurdish forces are connected with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which was designated by the US State Department as a terrorist organization in 1997 and remains on the list in 2019."

:
And by being allies with them, the US by extension were also 'connected' to the PKK. So what's your point? The US willingly chose to align itself with them knowing who they were.

I also think the premise of that article is horseshit. Nearly every article I've read has mentioned the PKK issue.

was being sarcastic because everyone seems to lose their minds over Kurds like they really care
Defending the principle that you shouldn't abandon your military allies is hardly some disingenuous hysteria. It's not the usual partisan grandstanding - a lot of military members that would otherwise be Trump supporters are pissed off too.

so where should it have ended? when was the right time to say "ok, Kurds don't need our help anymore."

I'm against sending troops to any needless wars. The US already has bases in Saudi, beefing up the troop number is to show of force, but nothing has happened in that region. If combat starts and US troops get involved, I condemn that as well.

that's fine people will have their own opinions. just because they're in the military doesn't mean they have a saying in where they deploy or not. all the military makes their living by taking orders from above anyway

so how long do we defend the Kurds? when is the right time to pull out? until we find stability in the region? lol

if looking weak in world stage means safety of our troops, that's what I support.

the people saying troops should stay in foreign countries risking their lives are usually the ones who haven't served a day in their life, kind of hypocritical when they will never do the same.

I don't like the Saudi deployment of US troops, but I understand the move. The region is much bigger scale threat than the Kurds, Iran has nuclear capability. plus Saudi's pay up, that's probably what Trump likes. But I hope everything is just a big bluff and eventually nothing happens.

I want US troops to stay safe and come home to their families.

I know we've been out of the region, even the last remaining special forces. so what was the plan that you supported if we didn't pull out?
How many of our troops died in Syria?

Stay until a settlement between Erdogan and the Kurds is negotiated. Syria is not an endless war. It's basically over, Assad has won.
