Why the F would a coach or anyone other than commission representatives be allowed to stand that close to a fighter during a weigh-in? This is the most easily fixable issue in the sport.

weight-cutting is stupid, unhealthy, and bad for the sport of MMA

Needs to stop smoking weed and eating pizza, do more road work.

The coaches challenge in the TUF he and Whittaker coached is fucking hilarious, Dana knew what he was doing.
I remember when he first came on the scene , his game was always the grind - wish he would go back to that - he woulda won against Izzy if he had

Its like these boys don't know there is a camera on them, how much is standing on that toe saving him? .2 of a pound?
I would imagine it saved him a few pounds if he weighed in at 184 even. He was likely 187 or higher as the maximum allowed weight for this fight is 186.

Regardless, the tactic worked, just like it worked for Cormier. Sure, the commission will "discipline" Gastelum/Cordeiro and make sure this doesn't happen again, but just as with DC, the fight isn't going to be cancelled and Kelvin won't have to weigh in again.

A pound ish then, interesting, it is obvioisly worth the risk, essentially paying the fine to avoid the sauna.

I can't remember Cormiers fine, should really be the default weight miss penalty minimum.

LOL at the commission saying that they don't know whether it mattered.

Kevin's team obviously thought it mattered. They wouldn't have cheated if they didn't know he was over.

Classic, have to love Cordeiros response though.

Did Kelvin Gastelum lean on his coach to make weight for UFC 244? Rafael Cordeiro says ‘no way,’ commission responds

“People are tripping,” Cordeiro said. “I went there to check his weight. How am I going to lift him two pounds with my chest? They are crazy. They are tripping. It’s drama to sell the fight. There’s no way. There’s no way.

“There were two athletic commission officials there, I was in front of the whole world… That’s impossible. It doesn’t even cross my mind to try to break the law. The kid made weight, two pounds under. He did his job. He was the last one, he was sweating, running like a maniac, working hard, and got the job done. Everyone has a mouth and can say whatever they want.”
