Been in SJ for nearly 3 years but still haven't eaten at Bills.
I like Aqui (boozy swirls) and Opa! (really decent Benedict)...in terms of walking distance on a Saturday brunch expedition.
I'll always plug Wicked Chicken. Free entry for UFC, their taplist is brilliant and the owner is a really good dude.
it's a long travel day, so I'm usually grabbing a Benedict at 11 lunch and a turkey club To-Go for the flight home. Opa! is right there on Scott, I'll hit there for a Benny next time I'm up.
Santa Clara wise but not coffee, chicken or UFC wise, Taplands is pretty much family to me.
Their sammiches are brilliant and their local taplist is awesome. Matt Hartenstein is a local legend.

FWIW - assuming that the account of one of the attackers co-workers is true (big leap), just because she called someone a nigger doesn't make her racist. Possibly, but could also be that she's trying to say the most hurtful word she knows to that person.

Only had it once, I wasn't fussed with that either. Was all over my first Taco Bell experience a few weeks back but I think it was my beer goggles talking it up. I've made the mistake since and thought it was bobbins.

Carne was pretty good but I was unimpressed with the portions. Guys working the line were acting like everything was gold.

I was a smashed avocado with a poached egg on wheat toast snob before moving here, now places in for instance LA are charging $15 for it.
Depends on the guac if I like it or not. If it's pureed into a baby food consistency I'm not interested.
