Pic: Vitor Belfort is suddenly jacked and there is absolutely no reason to be suspicious

That’s one of the benefits of retirement, getting to do whatever the f—k you want. As for Vitor Belfort, he appears to be using his time away from mixed martial arts (MMA) to lift weights and make fun of fighters who eat Nutella.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) headliner called it a career in the wake of his knockout loss to Lyoto Machida at UFC 224 back in May. The Brazilian trailblazer, who made his Octagon debut way back in 1997, had not won consecutive fights since the “spectacular” days of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), which has since been banned by stateside athletic commissions.

Belfort finished his career with a 26-14 (1 NC) record and also made a name for himself in PRIDE FC, where he earned his first disciplinary suspension after testing positive for steroids. “The Phenom” would later come under fire for another failed drug test in late 2015.

But hey, he’s retired now, so that’s urine under the bridge.

But wait a minute!

Video: Vitor Belfort is jacked again, smashing pads like ‘old Vitor’ ahead of ONE debut

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder, Vitor Belfort, appears to be reinvigorated ahead of his return to mixed martial arts (MMA), which is expected to take place for ONE Championship at some point in early 2020.

I’m sure that — and that alone — is the reason “The Phenom” is jacked again, and pounding the pads like the “Old Vitor” as opposed to the “deflated, heartless” Brazilian that opponents became accustomed to inside the Octagon.

“Vitor Belfort’s still got it and I am talking about technique, precision, and power,” legendary trainer, Henri Hooft, wrote on Instagram. “Been working with a lot of great strikers in the last 31 years and his is in the top when it comes to striking skill set.”

Belfort, 42, has 18 knockouts in 26 professional wins (with three submissions) but looked like a shell of his former self in his final fights with UFC. “The Phenom” got knocked out in five of his last seven appearances inside the Octagon (with one later changed to a no contest).

Been a fan of Vitor since his UFC debut. He saved the sport back then imo, opened my eyes to the future of what the sport could become in the days of fucking Scott Ferrozzo lol

I met him once on a beach in Rio. Was amazed, he had hands like the THING from Fantastic Four

Also I never get tired of watching Luke Rockhold get KTFO (by anyone).
