Is anyone following this thread from Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or Wisconsin or have family there? Largely pissed at the charade and completely irritated with Washington.

Nobody gives 2 fucks about the impeachment because it won't result in anything. The Dems haven't done themselves any favors for the 2020 election.

Virginia is pretty funny right now. 90% of the people I interact with all over the state roll their eyes and start bitching when they start talking about Trump on the news. They're over him. Most find him to be a pompous ass and a liar. Most of the complaints are just about him as a human and not policy related. Those same people are also mad that the government is so split and basically useless right now because they're just digging their heels in and not even pretending to work with people in other parties. They also seem to think that it's ridiculous that this is the nail in the coffin and don't think that the Ukraine/Biden issue is really that big of a deal even if it is against the letter of the law.
In the SW part of the state where I'm from originally, they're about half retarded and believe that God and the ghost of Jerry Falwell brought Trump to us to save us all from the gays.

Overall it seems like he's losing a lot of favor with most people including the Republicans that voted for him the last time. Even my uncle was bitching about how the bill he passed in relation to animal cruelty could hurt his right to hunt.

The bigger issue in Virginia right now is the NRA getting everyone fired up about Northam coming and taking their guns. So there are a ton of counties declaring that they will be 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries and they won't enforce any of the new restrictions.

It’s pretty generally known that impeachment helps the presidents favor ability. This one is so blatantly partisan that the people in the middle very likely will hold it against the democrats.

So he was told off for being illegal, sat on the naughty step and will be sorted again next year?

not even. he is basically being accused of 2 counts by the house and the hearing takes place in the senate. he has been brought up on charges and awaiting trial to put it in laymans terms . senate is saying they wont remove him and may not even have a trial

No worries there. I can assure you as an avowed socialist that we aren't making nearly as much headway as we'd like. At best we'll get universal healthcare in about 6-10 years.
