The dude was young when he hit the big leagues, but he proved himself more than capable. He’s been pro for 14 years, so being only 30 years old is deceiving. There are a lot of miles on The Waterboy / Aeres / The Red King. He became one of the best WWs on the planet and is still elite, but he may never get to the top of the heap again. This may be purely a financial play as he enters the later stages of his career.

People seem to forget that the "age" of a really active fighter doesn't mean a whole Hell of a lot. I couldn't help but laugh when during the UFC 245 broadcast Rogan mentioned how "at 33 years old Jose Aldo, is still young"

His fights were in Canada for KOTC
RFA was a feeder but it didn’t start till around 2011/2012
I've been watching the sport a long time, I didnt know KOTC was a Canadian promotion , didn't Rashad come from there to the UFC as well.

Only other Canadian promotion I know is MFC, because I had heard of McKee.

KOTC promoted events in Canada. The other big Canadian event was/is TKO.

Rashad, Rampage, Faber the list is to long to even try.

Them young starters always seem to fall off. Bj Penn. Joe daddy. Roger Huerta, Michael mCgusto, Jon Hathaway, Vitor for a period, Martin kampmann, Pablo Garza, Diego Sanchez.

All better at the start of thier mainstream careers
a lot of those people had long and successful careers. diego sanchez was something like 19-0 before going on TUF. roger huerta is probably the biggest disappointment but in hindsight he wasn't too skilled.

Jason Reinhardt was about 28-0 before he got his ufc, I'm sure you all remember him. Got his ass kicked 3 times and retired
