I don't really have a strong opinion on Conor one way or the other, but I can't help but enjoy the panicked look he gets on his face when he starts being put under adversity.

Does he think that he can shit talk his way into a fight with Khabib? Conor has to know that he was outgunned in that fight badly.... He looked like he shouldn't have been within 50 yards of that octagon that evening.

If he keeps angling for Khabib, and not focusing on Cowboy, it's going to be a short short night for Conor.

Conor’s bullshit gimmick aside - the same gimmick that merged into his real life and turned him into a Real life piece of shit I must say....all that aside Conor was always great at willing to learn and try new things in order to evolve his fight game.

Unfortunalty all the coke and booze has blurred his perception of reality - he got worked and worked hard by Khabib ...he needs to understand that ..he has to understand and work tremendously on either his wrestling or say fuckit and become like Mirko Cro Cop was in his prime with his wrestling take down defense shutting down great wrestlers like Mark Coleman, Waterman, Fujita, Randleman 2.

Best bet is try to emulate Mirko - Conor’s going to need a good couple years of hardcore day to day wrestling if he wanted to even come close to handling Khabib, instead of blasting old men in bars he should have been doing this once he lost his fight with Khabib

Khabib isn't even the $$ fight...Cowboy, Gamebred, Nate...no one even cares about Conor/Khabib, so why even talk about it?
Is there a big payday in Moscow down the road?

Conor should be figuring out how to maximize his wins and paychecks before heading to Bellator.

You guys, now Conor is saying that he's more interested in a fight with Usman than with Masvidal...... You guys, I think that Conor may be dying and is trying to cash in on a life insurance policy. Usman will literally KILL Conor, and it wouldn't even be close. Usman is Khabib with better hands... I hope that Dana and Co don't make that a thing.

Agree 100%

Conor is Dana’s little cash cow - Dana is going to do what ever he can to protect Jon Jones and Conor now that he lost Sage,Paige and Ronda’s sweet ass.

I get the feeling Dana had a little one on one with his puppet Conor McToy Boy and it probably went something like this:

Dana White: “Remember when I Said There are No Easy Fights in the UFC Conor? Well fuck all that noise! I’m gonna protect you like my life depends on it baby McToy boy! I’ll never let you get hurt again! I promise! I pinky swear! ....Never!!

Listen Conor, I’m gonna match you up with Cowboy - I already had a little talk with Cowboy he knows not to mix any of that wrestling bull Shit! He will keep it standing and for an extra 50K he’ll take a dive in the final minute of the 1st.

All you have to do is go out there and keep talking shit to all these monsters like Khabib - Usman - Colby ....just remember those fights will never happen! Daddy Dana’s here to protect you Conor McToy Boy.”

Mostly agree, but was Conor really dominating the stand up against Khabib? My memory isn’t what it once was, but seems like he was getting beat with hands too.

I’m curious where people think he needs to evolve beyond wrestling (which takes a lifetime to be elite at if you aren’t GSP). Getting subbed by Nate and Khabib doesn’t mean he doesn’t have ground/jiu-jitsu skills. Also, most other elite strikers are weaker on the ground than standing as well.

I would say his main area which needs continued evolution is outside the cage. Assuming the news of his disciplined training and revived commitment is true, he may have already taken a step in the right direction.

He needs to obviously improve his grappling and cardio. He also needs to challenge himself in training, you can tell that he's the top guy on his team, and he needs to train with better people. Work out of some shitty spots, once he feels confident there, you won't see him fold like he does in grappling exchanges.

I'd also like to see him mix his game up, rather than only go for the KO shot. He in his last few fights, definitely looked a bit slower with his striking speed, so I'd like to see him implement some clinch fighting. Chuck Liddell was like this too, fell in love with his KO power, and the highlight reel finishes... Until he got slower, then KOed, a lot, THEN he tried implementing takedowns... I don't want to see Conor wait that long.

Those are the things I'd like to see him improve on

conor should win a fight or 2 in the division before he gets a title shot

I think everyone would agree Justin deserves the next shot over Conor, and hardcore fans would prefer to see Gaethje vs the winner, but can you really blame WME/UFC to put him back in a title fight as quickly as possible? I mean, I am actually impressed that they didn’t give him an immediate rematch.

Damn, Rigan Machado just gave an interview where he said that he 100% believes that his brown belt student Ashton Kutcher can beat brown belt Conor McGregor in a BJJ match..... Conor's ground game is so porous that Rigan believes that Kelso will beat him :D

But all kidding aside, Ashton grew up wrestling in Iowa (how tough are those Iowa wrestlers ECC170 @ECC170?), and is a Rigan brown belt.... He can probably ball up quite a few people no matter what roll he played on TV.
