Why have I never watched Hail Caesar? Ok I'll sort that out this week.eh I thought it was enjoyable but pointless and unremarkable. The same “ode to cinema” motto and over the top violent closure as Inglorious Basterds. plus the Coen bros. basically did the same movie a couple years ago (Hail Caesar) with more inspiration.
Once upon a time... must be really special for movie addicts and people who lived in Hollywood in the late 60’s. I’m sure there are thousands of eastern eggs that I didn’t notice.
I have a habit of falling asleep in cinemas even during really loud movies so I was chuffed I didn't during this, I didn't know about the Manson stuff before going so that had me when I realised too. For a 3.5 hour or however long it was movie, the time flew by.
Margot Robbie and Brad were brilliant I thought. Looking forward to watching at home again.
