I think she's quite cute, as are many female fighters, but that's not the problem here or in wmma in general. Not trying to be mean but, realistically, these women possess the physical capabilities of 15 year old male children. And, it seems, this particular woman cheats too.Why are you guys so obsessed with ugly girls who punch each other?
They are not cute and I kinda question the motives of guys who like watching women get beaten to a pulp...I think she's quite cute, as are many female fighters, but that's not the problem here or in wmma in general. it wouldnt be so bad if they would actually get beaten to a pulp. its the 3 round decisions with zero damage that ruins wmma. if there were a few more amanda nunez and rose types i might actually care about it.They are not cute and I kinda question the motives of guys who like watching women get beaten to a pulp...
I watch so little of it, I didn't even know that! LOLOLOL!it wouldnt be so bad if they would actually get beaten to a pulp. its the 3 round decisions with zero damage that ruins wmma. if there were a few more amanda nunez and rose types i might actually care about it.
Penne Details Potential Career-Ending USADA Suspension
Former UFC women’s strawweight title challenger Jessica Penne has fallen on hard times of late and things may even get worse for the veteran heading into the new year.
Penne, 36, is currently battling United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a violation that would sideline her for four years. It’s an incredibly amount of time, especially for a veteran who hasn’t competed since April 2017.
While Penne has been a professional fighter for over 13 years and has experienced all the ups and downs the sport of MMA has to offer, her recent string of bad luck is one for the ages. It all started back in May of 2017 when Penne was informed she tested positive for anabolic steroids during an out-of-competition drug test that screened her biological passport. Penne professed her innocence but ultimately had to serve the suspension from the sidelines.
Once cleared to compete, Penne was booked to fight Jodie Esquibel at UFC on ESPN+ 8 in Sunrise, Florida. Penne was eventually removed from the bout and replaced by veteran fighter Angela Hill. The reason for Penne’s withdrawal was originally traced back to an ankle injury suffered in training, but now it seems like there’s more to the story.
“The reason I was pulled was because of an extremely low level of stanozolol was found in my system (picogram levels),” wrote Penne in a passionate Instagram post earlier today (shown below). “My heart sank… after everything I had gone through by complying and staying quite (sic) just to get my shot back, this happened.”
In case anyone forgot the treasure we may lose....
(Upon further review...not Penne but still nice)
If this is true, FUCK USADA and RIP Penne ass. Your glutes were poetry in motion.
Its a nice break to make another drink and have a smoke before the real fights come onit wouldnt be so bad if they would actually get beaten to a pulp. its the 3 round decisions with zero damage that ruins wmma. if there were a few more amanda nunez and rose types i might actually care about it.
I never understand this, we all fucking hate boring ass WMMA fights but if I criticize them in any way on twitter I get bombarded with hate messages and they insist they only buy PPV's for the women, only follow for the women etc and would ignore the UFC if they cut the women's divisions. Puzzling as fuck......Its a nice break to make another drink and have a smoke before the real fights come on
They probably dont want to get banned from Twitter. 95 % of womens fights are shit. Same can be said for lower weight class mens fights.I never understand this, we all fucking hate boring ass WMMA fights but if I criticize them in any way on twitter I get bombarded with hate messages and they insist they only buy PPV's for the women, only follow for the women etc and would ignore the UFC if they cut the women's divisions. It's not as bad for the men's fights as it was a couple of years ago, they'd spend the whole bout running in circles and just darting in for the occasional missed strike. I don't see as many requests for a smaller cage WEC style as I did back then. They probably dont want to get banned from Twitter. 95 % of womens fights are shit. I want the smaller cage for everyone. It's not as bad for the men's fights as it was a couple of years ago, they'd spend the whole bout running in circles and just darting in for the occasional missed strike. I don't see as many requests for a smaller cage WEC style as I did back then.
about the WMMA fans on twitter, they appear to be sincere. I really think they do need to be cut, the only argument for keeping them is Nunes and Shevchenko basically, with one or two promising fighters like Saurez knocking on the door (and of course Cyborg previously)They probably dont want to get banned from Twitter. 95 % of womens fights are shit. MM couldnt even sell out a smaller arena in KC. I dont mind watching Rose fight and enjoyed seeing Holm kick Rondas head off, but moat of the time I find something else to do for 15 minutesabout the WMMA fans on twitter, they appear to be sincere. the UFC gave it a go but they aren't ready even now and they are getting paid money they don't deserve. When I suggest that they have their own org like Invicta the twitter people ignore me even though we all know WMMA would fade into obscurity again if they didn't have the established product propping them up. It's horrible how much favouritism they receive.
It's easy to understand with guys like MM, he might have all the skill in the world but when you look like a child it's hard to take it seriously. HW is popular just because it's the biggest guys and they are fascinating. Two kids running in circles until the judges call it isn't entertaining.MM couldnt even sell out a smaller arena in KC. It was the first and last UFC event here.
When invicta started I honestly thought it was a joke. Other than a few coaches or friends of fighters I knew no one that wanted to go.
Yeah Rose, JJ, Andrade and Zhang have made the division interesting, I shouldn't have left them out.I dont mind watching Rose fight and enjoyed seeing Holm kick Rondas head off, but moat of the time I find something else to do for 15 minutes
Holm is horrific to watch too most of the time, the queen of hitting thin air and then moving backI dont mind watching Rose fight and enjoyed seeing Holm kick Rondas head off, but moat of the time I find something else to do for 15 minutes
