Dish Network has been teasing a new live TV service that streams to your computer, iPad, Android phone, etc. It was invite only for a week or so, but they finally opened the service to the public. No need to have Dish Network Service. It runs totally separate and is billed monthly with no commitment. I just signed up for the $20 package plus the news and info package. Total of $25 for all the live television I'll really need. No sense in paying over $100 for hundreds of channels I'll never watch. There's also a nifty built-in DVR that allows you to go back about four days to watch stuff that already aired.
I'm so pumped about this. I cut the cord a couple years ago and have been sick of constantly hunting down something to watch for background noise. Any of you guys cut the cord yet? They're offering a free 7-day trial if you're interested.
