So how many headkick finishes does Conor have?
He has more knockouts and knockdowns overall. He has never been knocked out (Cowboy has been KO'd or TKO'd numerous times), and he has been knocked down far fewer times than Cowboy.

Head kick finishes /= more effective striking

Not against UFC competition.

It's the same reason that Cowboy has more KO's than Conor does. Conor never fights.

Head kick finishes /= more effective striking
So would you take Conor over Cowboy in a Muay Thai fight?

But he's the better striker, remember?
Muay Thai striking /= MMA striking. Different rules, different gloves, so many changes to how it is approached by the fighters.

As far as who would win, I would imagine Conor but that's not what we're arguing. We're arguing who the better striker is as it relates to their upcoming MMA bout.

and I'm saying it's the guy who uses all facets of striking, you're saying it's the boxer.
You're saying it's the guy who's been knocked out 6 times, I'm saying it's the guy who has never been knocked out and who is statistically better in every metric used to determine effective striking.

Correct.

I'm saying it's the guy that uses feet, hands, elbows and knees. You're saying it's the guy who doesn't but has better (largely irrelevant) statistics. You're looking at "effective striking" I'm looking at who I'd pick to win in a striking matchup.
