I think there is some legitimacy to it, when we were kids my buddy cracked his older brother over the head with a bat ....his older brother became one of the smartest kids to come out of the Underground Developmental School of Denver - he got a free ride to North Carolina and now is a top scientist working on Crispr, so I believe its possible.
