Cowboy actually once said that the whole red panty night thing for fighting Conor was a myth, because there is absolutely nothing obligating the UFC to pay fighters any more than what their existing contract requires.
And it seems that Cowboy turned that into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Despite what retards and shills in the MMA media say, this fight only makes sense from one perspective and that's the UFC's extraordinary greed in trying to squeeze every cent out by minimizing costs wherever possible.
Cowboy wasn't given this fight as some sort of reward like some seem to think, he was given this fight because he's a rube that the UFC knew they could fuck over harder than other fighters.
