Good breakdown on how diverse and effective Conor's kicking game is here.

Conor McGregor Technical Breakdown: Part 2, Kicking

It is not that Conor’s kicks are not strong, just that his objective is accuracy, not brute power. This prevents him from kicking by utilizing his full hip-force. For example, Conor does not kick with reckless abandon like Edson Barboza or Justin Gaethje.

On the other hand, McGregor employs a variety of kicks, originating from karate, taekwondo and other disciplines. His kicking game is effective in that it enables him to control the distance and set up his rhythm. His kicks, like Nate Diaz’s punches, have a cumulative effect and can wear opponents down.

Thanks for posting. I read the first part some time ago and would have missed this otherwise

Conore is all over the place in his interviews, talking about fighting Gaethje, Masvidal, Usman, and saying Khabib is scared. Not a good look.

If Cowboy uses his brains and not his degree from Don Frye's School of Playing to Your Opponent's Strengths, he can take Conor down and submit him. My guess is that, as an honored alum of Don's school, he will stand with Conor, not move his head much (as usual) and get absolutely and spectacularly KTFO

: (
I am shocked...positively shocked by the outcome of this fight!

I'm not sure how anyone could possibly pick Conor if you're looking at the fight objectively. Cowboy is a better striker and grappler than Conor. I'll say the same thing about this fight that I said before the first time Conor fought Diaz. There are 3 ways to win a fight. Sub, KO/TKO, Decison. 2 of those 3 outcomes are more likely to land for Cowboy should they come to pass and a KO/TKO is pretty much a toss up.

was disappointing fo sure

second strike(knee) put donald on chill mode
I'm honestly never surprised when John Kavanagh comes up with a stellar gameplan. They made sure some of Conor's deficiencies were addressed and he ended up looking fantastic. Great performance, hats off to Conor.

I didn't see enough to know much about a gameplan or deficiencies being addressed. Did see Cowboy got caught and crumbled as predicted.
Conor had him rattled pre fight it seems, and finished him with the quickness once given the chance.

Impressive opening strike combo and very great awareness to attack cowboy with shoulders and more, as don seemed rocked from the first exchange knee.

Hope to see more from Conor if he can keep his head right, hope he becomes a 3-4 fight a year guy and strikes while the Iron is Hot.
