Just finished a great true crime podcast called “Bear Brook”, about an unsolved murder in New Hampshire when 4 bodies were found in oil drums in the woods of Bear Brook Park. I highly recommend.

holy crap. I remember the promos for 1 ice pick video going around and refused to watch.I had enough over the years of gore sites and just felt like I was getting numb to stuff I shouldn't get numb to. I had no idea how extensive that went, just the internet pushing the video and then hunting the guy. Gonna watch,.
I just read the synopsis. That link stays blue

almost finished with the killing season.

The Killing Season is an American true crime documentary television series which debuted on November 12, 2016, on A&E. Executive produced by Alex Gibney, the series follows documentarians Joshua Zeman and Rachel Mills as they explore the case of the Long Island serial killer and other unsolved cases such as the Eastbound Strangler, and the victims and investigations that have been connected to the cases. Some new investigating and interviewing is done during the series, including contacting internet amateur crime investigation group Websleuths.com group members, and following-up on Websleuths activities

one of the better & more enraging true crime docs (3 part series?), a real life True Detective.

Catherine Broad has written a lot about it.

loose connections to Jon Benet Ramsey's grandpa & John Wayne Gacy IIRC.

Fox Islands (Michigan) - Wikipedia
In the 1960s and 1970s, a child pornography ring was discovered operating on North Fox Island. The proprietor of the island, Francis Shelden, used his position in a large social program called the Brother Paul's Children's Mission, as well as his position as a Big Brother with the YMCA in Ann Arbor, to fly boys in his private plane to his island retreat. The Ann Arbor News published a story in their weekend magazine on the proprietor's life, then published a second story when the crimes were uncovered. The crimes have long been suspected to have ties to the Oakland County Child Killer case.

Fox Islands (Michigan) - Wikipedia

Jeffrey Epstein was accused of sex trafficking young girls on his mysterious private island. Over 40 years ago, a different millionaire escaped justice in a stunningly similar case.

The story of the financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing and trafficking minors, erupted in the news this year, and internet sleuths say the case of Shelden and Lake Michigan's North Fox Island bears an uncanny resemblance to today's scandal.

Both center on allegations that secretive millionaires weaponized their philanthropic giving, cliques of connected friends, and private island paradises to prey on young victims and escape justice. Like Shelden, Epstein was a millionaire, a philanthropist, and a man with powerful friends. And neither stood trial for the crimes for which he was accused.

After accusations surfaced about goings-on at North Fox Island, Shelden disappeared.

That is one mentally ill individual. Watched a recent documentary about his crimes and he's a total sociopath.
