Don't worry budDont get cocky because the retards are showing up
Hmmmm well i'm only an apprentice and having the vehicle in front of me would make all the difference but IMO it has to be something related to the clutch circuit rather than the transmission if the pedal is completely limp.....Whats the mileage on the car and what does your transmission fluid look like?I just called him back to suggest it and he’s checked the master and slave cylinder and they’re apparently both fine.
I think it's on or around 100k. It's no spring chicken. I really couldn't tell you about the fluid. It's in the shop still but even if it wasn't I wouldn't really know how to check it.Hmmmm well i'm only an apprentice and having the vehicle in front of me would make all the difference but IMO it has to be something related to the clutch circuit rather than the transmission if the pedal is completely limp.....Whats the mileage on the car and what does your transmission fluid look like?
Haven't really been following the thread with all the random comments and I've got 3 cars I'm working on after I get home from work, so it's been busy. You say the guy has never seen this? It's actually a common issue in hydraulic clutch systems when a component fails. If you can turn the car off, pull the pedal back up (should feel some hydraulic resistance), and turn the car back on and get it into gear... then it can only be the slave or master cylinder or the release bearing sticking. It should take no more than an hour to look it over and figure it out. Just make sure it's greased, check hyd fluid level, bleed, test fluid, inspect throw out when depressing the clutch, etc. It's not rocket science. It's far more easy than the Allison 3000/4000 transmissions I've been missing with lately. Tell the dude to get his ass in gearI think it's on or around 100k. It's no spring chicken. This is what I thought the circuit is pretty simple , @Otis Driftwood take it to a German specialist and pay for an hour diagnosticHaven't really been following the thread with all the random comments and I've got 3 cars I'm working on after I get home from work, so it's been busy. Thanks to you too. I can't take it anywhere because it doesn't work at the moment. I'll text the guy with the suggestions. This is what I thought the circuit is pretty simple , @Otis Driftwood take it to a German specialist and pay for an hour diagnostic
Good job posting the license plate fucktardIt’s too cute to be poorly, but the company I bought it from will hopefully buy it back. They were up for it 18 months or so ago.
Exactly what danger is that going to cause? It isn't my SSN, bank details and address.Good job posting the license plate fucktard
I'd rather get my car back first.
Missing Kwik Fit at this point. I got stranded in Italy for 2 days with a flat tyre with another Mini because it was a Saturday afternoon and tnowhere was open. Life could have been worse there spending two more days in Tuscany but ffs. Just want it fixed. You won’t get it back till you fetch a spanner to his chops.
You need to assert dominance.
The flywheel in the transmission was fucked apparently. He's waiting on the part. Only taken a week to diagnose the issue.
