Yeah, I’m good. I’m not embarrassed to admit I have depression and have some really bad days, but things are good at the moment. I am self aware when symptoms get worse, but I have the tools to manage through. I just discovered that first song I posted in the OP (“Broken Down” by Ollie) and felt it really captured the despair I have related to. Even though I’m in a good place, I can empathize with those who may not be right now, hence that gif/comment.
That movie is so conflicting. I love the idea of living outside the confines of society’s rat race, but what a waste of life! Every time I watch it I hope for a different ending. Definitely a powerful soundtrack for sure!
Ed Vedder’s voice was perfect for it. Waste of a life indeed, I love sometimes going off the grid but that just means me avoiding the internet and buggering off to the beach to a friend’s for a few days haha
I feel ya man. I deal with anxiety and it's a real motherfucker at times, so anytime I sense someone else dealing with it, I can relate and feel like it's only right to ask how they're doing.
I never experienced it until I had kids and then it progressed over the years. I get treated for it but I still have incidents from time to time.
ive had it after working jobs dealing with peoples behaviors all day for 15 years. never know when i have to restrain people, etc. it sucks not having a normal job. regret pursuing a behavior therapist job. i took the week off because i needed a break
My wife is a behavior therapist and she gets emotionally burnt out too man. Also wishes she would have chosen a different career.
