Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal is close to being finalized.

UFC President Dana White broke the news to Jim Rome on the Jim Rome Show that Usman vs. Masvidal is being planned for International Fight Week in Las Vegas. This year’s International Fight Week is currently scheduled for July 7 to July 12, so Usman vs. Masvidal will likely headline a UFC pay-per-view at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, July 11.

I hope so - EPO Usman will have that DillaSnake Cardio pumped to the max so the challenge will be extremely difficult but Masvidal has the skill set and heart to take this deep ...

I don’t see Usman finishing Jorge but I can see Jorge finishing EPO Usman ....

Only way Usman wins this is in a 5 round decision.

16 years of doing this Masvidal knows how to avoid takedowns. He is going to carve up Usman's face.

I'm thinking it will end in the 3rd or 4th round.

Despite his career peaking right now, I can’t see Jorge winning. I feel like Usman will dominate a boring fight, win a lopsided decision, and will come out looking worse/less likable than before.

That would certainly make for a more entertaining and interesting fight! Let’s hope you are right, but I feel like the Maia fight, Jorge won’t be able to cause enough damage before Usman can get the clinch. I hope I’m wrong.

Usman will come in looking to strike, so he doesn't look like a "bitch", in round one he'll catch a few that'll make Jorge look good, and him change his approach. Rounds 2-5 will be a grapple fest, giving Usman the UD win. After people will say that Jorge was winning until Usman decided to make the fight boring.... Usman fans will say that he expertly shut down Jorge.... And we'll get a rematch.
