Quite a strong taste. A lot of hassle for a one off. Apparently people do this in bulk and sell them for quite a bit. These particular ones are Golden Oyster.

I have thought about trying to grow some mushrooms. Lion’s Mane.

Sounds too labor intensive.
It is a little. I wouldn't do it again other than as an experiment. I have some Chicken Of The Woods liquid culture that I might try to work with but it's supposed to be very difficult to fruit.

What did you cook them in?
Just regular sunflower oil. I guess I could have used butter but I didn't want to flavour them much as this was the first time I had tried them.

I hate mushrooms. Hate them. They taste too earthy for my palate

I once grew some mexcian mushrooms. The high kind. I got a massive yield. I took to taking them as if they were a pint.

One night I woke up and thought I was in the wrong house.

I woke up again freezing in a park bench.

Not a fan of mushroom

My buddy from high school has gotten into growing and foraging for mushrooms on an intense level. Started a little farm. He's building a structure specifically for growing them. It's wild how much effort has went into it but he's already getting some awesome returns.

I get it.
You've got to eat them with something though.
I think oyster mushrooms cooked in white wine would go well with dill, and served with roasted chicken breast and a low-cal palated white sauce & black pepper.

Good work. Over the years I've gotten into growing enoki and king oyster mushrooms, just for personal consumption like yourself.
