I am not a fan of take downs scoring on their own without advancing position or getting damage but they do mean something and if you don' t like it, then stop them from happening.

Wouldn’t immedialty getting back up to your feet equalize the takedown in regards to points
I never hear about points being scored when pulling guard.
Jones only landed 2. So at this point they're scoring him for takedowns he isn't completing.

Sort of. If you've never grappled before you don't know that getting right back up is also effective grappling.
The problem will always be, what determines what comples a take down. No one will ever agree in that.
