Alas
In Canada there is no such thing as stand your ground. She could well be accused of homicide.
I'm not even joking.
Ya that sucks
Trying to play by some rules or laws when it is obvious you are defending yourself from armed criminals

Only after you incurred some hefty legal defense bills.
Even that's more than a little exaggerated. The people crippled by the legal system usually are because they've done some shit that's hard to explain away.

I didn't say crippled, I said hefty bills, which you most likely will because the crown prosecutor will most likely try to put you through the ringer even if he knows it's going nowhere. 9 chances out of 10 you're going to need legal counsel, not likely the cops are just going to say "good shoot, bruh".

Not saying it can't happen, but in Canada it's unlikely you're walking away unscathed.

This happened in Georgia.
Literally this first press conference the cops said "this is a person defending their life and property. We see no reason to arrest."

Really?
I'm willing to be proven wrong
In Canada you have the right to defense of life.

Like I said, there are some caveats. One of those is that, you need to be in fear for your life. If you shoot a person in the back that's running away from you, it's going to be difficult to convince people you were afraid of being killed. There's also that if you're using a firearm it would need to be legally stored before you went for it. There are some exceptions, where people aren't even that careful and get away with it because the crown can be morons from time to time. Look up the Coulton Boushie/Gerald Stanley case. Every Canadian should be familiar with it just because of the aftermath that came with it.
