Didn't know the LDS were so popular, there's 4 churches in San Jose apparently. I like having a Scientology centre next door though.
Did you know that? tang @Vagabond. It's not a full on Scientology church, just a purification centre.

Those white shirt wearing motherfuckers!
there was a black lady who went to an LDS church for years and no one would talk to her.
she had to write a letter to the President of the church to find out how to get baptized, because no one in her church would tell her.

Always said if I decided against Atheism it would be Buddhism. Going to Thailand just made me more sure but not ready to commit for a few months. Never prayed for myself when I was religious and I feel like it would be self involved at the moment.

the beauty of Buddhism is nobody tells u to do this or that, just leave it up to the nature of things, cuz no matter how schooled u are on some religious text or puts in hours and hours of prayers, all the shit that was supposed to happen will happen.

thats y they call Natural Disasters, an Act of God cuz shit will happen no matter what. Not because Alah or Jehova’s mad at us

On my radar in a few months. I could do with some discipline and Buddhism is the only religion that makes sense to me. I like the idea that if you want to be appreciated for whatever reason you put in what you take out. Always had the idea of treat people as you wish to be treated.

In Buddhism, you don’t need to be disciplined. They don’t believe in self-improvements because there is no self to improve in the first place. We’re all just part of the universe.

if you enjoy this moment, right here, right now, everything will come into place. You have no obligations to be the same person 5 minutes ago.

past and the future don’t exist, only thing real is the present. All the things you think about in the future has to become now for them to be a reality anyway.

When u do dishes, u focus on doing one dish at a time cuz you can only hold one dish at a time. U don’t think about the bill u need to pay or jackass that sent u the mean email, Complete engagement to what is going on in the present moment.

Using lots of Alan Watts quotes, should check him out on youtube.

And that saying “treat everyone as you wish to be treated” is a universal idea that was said by Confucius 500 years before Jesus

it was written in the book of Leviticus a couple hundred years before Confucius.

Jesus was quoting Leviticus.

Oh crikey, I'm not trying to take it as my own, I know it was a thing before
It just makes sense to me. The monks I met in Thailand were so damned lovely I would like to be involved. I don't NEED to be a part of religion, but it feels like it would be really calming. I just don't want to do it for selfish reasons so I need to sort that out in May.

oh~ I learn something new everyday.

my point is, it's a very common saying, and there are many other religions that follows the same idea
