That place was like Nirvana to me when I went to see it, even had a chat about joining a couple years back...I used to watch a lot of Project Runway. Visiting there and Mood Fabrics a couple of years ago was like crack.

So I see a woman made up to look like a chimp. Am I missing something?

and how do people use "Fashion" and "Technology" in their name as if those are things that go together?

Lots of technology involved. I won't bore you with details, you just have to trust me. I only have a couple sewing machines and haven't used them in ages so I'm really not an expert but technology when used to design fabric patterns is massive.

I don't mean in the assembly of clothes, or even the materials used. I'm pointing out that there's a global understanding that tech schools specialize in STEM programs, like MIT.

Okay. Project Runway for example, when they design a new fabric, it's made on a massive HP scetchpad or whatever you want to call it. I don't know if you're agreeing with me or not :D
Fashion is hugely tech driven, going to my fabric stores or whatever isn't because I'm not in the industry and just make clothes for me or friends/family because I enjoy it.

It's driven by tech that other people design. That's my point.
