I didn't say "the best", but I really do enjoy them. I started taking them more seriously with Light Grenades, the documentary was really good too. I saw them in Sacramento in 2018 as well, I enjoyed it but at 3 hours it was way too long. Way too long.Foo Fighters is cute but they’re a bland, generic arena rock band that churns out a slightly different version of your standard radio rock hit + filler every couple years. Nowhere near best of all time.
I saw them live in 2018 and it looked and sounded like the most well rehearsed, calculated act to reach out to an audience of brainwashed smartphone young people- everything that rock is not supposed to be. When they dared to play a song that doesn’t have a video on mtv people would flock to buy junk food.
I walked out mid show while they were playing “big me”
I feel like a right dollop but I was a kid so fuck it. When they won a Radio 1 best track vote thing years ago in the UK I cried...I felt it was so unjust that U2 didn't win it and came 5th or something.a head which as this time has no name

My mother ripped me about it for years.
You're fooling fucking no one that SYL is rock.
Well I had to post some metal, I got tired of the whole butt rock arguments you guys keep having. It's a good song and in it's age it might as well be another rock song now. You're fooling fucking no one that SYL is rock.

Know I might cop some shit for this but I think I preferred Killswitch's cover. Sorry, @Rhino

Won't get shit from me, I think Killswitch did it better too, but their nothing wrong with the classic either, Howie just has a better range than Dio, and Killswitch had more advance recording equipment too. Both soilid versionsKnow I might cop some shit for this but I think I preferred Killswitch's cover. Sorry, @Rhino
Actually not hugely fond of either version, I do like it...just not OMG awesome about it.Won't get shit from me, I think Killswitch did it better too, but their nothing wrong with the classic either, Howie just has a better range than Dio, and Killswitch had more advance recording equipment too. I grew up with Queen, Mam and Dad were massive queen fans and road trips were mostly Queen or Glam Rock tapes. I never really appreciated them, until I got much older. Queen wasn't just about about Freddy though, although he gets all the fame. Brian May is one of the greatest Guitarists of all time, Roger Taylor one of the greatest Drummers and Joe Decon one of the greatest Bassists. Basically, every one in the group was maestro.I know we've debated this here before, but there's recently been a massive shake up to my top 5 that may surprise many of you.
Coming in at the new #1 spot....
QUEEN
After watching Bohemian Rhapsody, I've been listening to them hardcore & learned what a legend that Freddie Mercury was. Probably the greatest vocalist and frontman of all-time.
2) Eagles
3) Zepplin
4) Pink Floyd
And also breaking into the Top 5....
5) Fleetwood Mac
PS - Fuck the Doors...come at me bros.

Have you seen Flash Gordon and Highlander? I swear those movies would not be as good without the Queen soundtrack.
When Freddie died, it was a massive deal in the UK. I remember being at school the day his death was announced, we were all took out of our maths class and given an 'emergency' lesson on safe sex and HIV/AIDS. Freddy was the wake up call for HIV/AIDS education in the UK.
I love rock music, dont have a particular favourite group with the exception of Guns n Rose, Aerosmith, and of course Queen.
Cheesy but good -
No, not just about Mercury, I saw them with Adam Lambert a couple of years ago and they were still brilliant...so entertaining.I grew up with Queen, Mam and Dad were massive queen fans and road trips were mostly Queen or Glam Rock tapes. I met Adams when he was a teenager. It was the summer of '77 and Adams was around 17 years old.. He had replaced Nick Gilder as the lead singer of a local glam rock band called Sweeney Todd playing the club circuit around Vancouver. He was banging my friend's rock groupie sister at the time.Have you ever really loved a woman?
