That is pretty cool. I watched he'd a youtube video on how sound engineers are manipulating the electric noises of e-cars to help them sell better, since people who like powerful cars tend to like the noises that go along with them.
Having said that, wouldn't a fair straight line race with a street production car be with another street legal production car? Or wouldn't it be a fair comparison to take a one off track car and pit it against another one off, or even just strictly track car? There are modified vw bugs that would smoke the mclaren in quarter mile races and based on that video, I'm guessing they would smoke that idr too.
