I don't think anybody's going to know how accurate any of this is until we see the trigger pulled when the P word gets used.
The Whitehouse is saying they are centralizing things right now. If that's true, that's pretty good. But I don't believe it. this administration has had a really hands-off approach from the executive branch when managing crises like hurricanes. That can be good or bad depending on the situation and the person in the executive.

In the case of hurricanes if the apparatus is up to the task then keeping politics out of the way is great. So let FEMA do it's thang.

But if you hit something like hurricane Maria and you have an island with unexpectedly difficult infrastructure, etc. Then you need an executive that's going to negotiate between multiple entities to create solutions that were unexpectedly needed. You can't just say Hi I authorize the funding if funding alone won't solve the problem.

I see a lot of the same parallels coming for this.
Our initial response is probably going to be pretty good. The machinery is there and it's on standby waiting to kick in.
Then what?

Like Ebola well have vaccines used in CDC centers inside of a couple of months most likely. but none of that will come to the rest of us unless it's "next season" And this becomes a new endemic disease... Which given the mild nature quite frankly I think it probably will. Too many other countries have high density urban populations and Don't have the ability to respond fully. So I kind of expect to see this floating like the swine flu.

in the end the Trump administration is going to continually say everything is great. And opponents are going to be critics. Just like with fema and hurricanes.

I just wonder about supply chains for things like electronics since South Korea and China are getting hit now with longer expectation for disease burden.

not sure if this is good or not...posting it in case somebody has two hours to kill
Pat Miletich's podcast
Don't think the pod will be conspiracy related really, just a medical breakdown from a Doc.

I don't have 2 hours but happy to hear a synopsis
Dr/Marine/Disease researcher says...

Neanderthal Gene carriers are in much less danger...the neanderthal gene map matches up with the outbreak map...East Europe, Asia and Iran do not have this gene for the most part so it hits hard there.

He thinks China be lying about the numbers by a good amount.

Made in a lab no doubt...likely from somebody working on/with Sars.

Not attacking/attaching/or somethinging protien yet...which is good...if it does we Die.

Lots of other good stuff science wise and historical wise regarding DNA and whatnot.

Some political speculation, both China and US related(that is mostly by Pat Miletich and his co Host Jeff)

It will likely not go away with nice weather.

Pardon my summary, I am not a doctor...I probably got some of it wrong.

Very interesting video.
So this virus is not air borne.
That's a sign of relief.
she is "90% confident"
and everything she is saying is speculation

I think it is a Bioweapon most likely

NBC isn't really that reliable IMO

remember that airborne has a very specific definition. This is spread by respiratory droplets which means you can still get it the same way you get cold and flu virus. You can be in the room with somebody that's sick and get it without touching them. Sneeze snot wiping on stuff etc.
