You could put me right in the mofuggin' middle.
Do or do you not support that ...
Wuhan is a bioengineered HIV based bioweapon made to implement 5G death to prevent social security check payments (work camp slave creation) and implement forced mass vaccination to kill/control the global population? ( I might have some wrong, but that's pretty close to what I've read in this thread)

Isn't that about what you told me here?

Are you knockin the middle ground now
No, I'm pointing out that the middle isn't always right (that's a known fallacy)...or even the middle anymore...when the middle includes that bat viruses are really unsubstantiated bioweapons made to implement 5G cell signal and forced vaccine poisoning.

That stuffs a pretty fringe guys and acting like someone is the gestapo thought police for pointing out the lack of data in those theories is a silly attempt to redefine the middle.

there you go building strawmen again.

Is 'redefining the middle' part of mod responsibilities?

I went bug chasing in an Iranian restaurant, a Korean restaurant, an Italian restaurant and then tried to solicit some bat meat down in Chinatown but still came up short.

Reminds me of the early 90s. All those wasted nights spent cavorting with all types of strange men while wearing my Magic Johnson jersey.

Ah well, I'll keep trying. Maybe we can all organize a TMMAC get together for the next fight.

*cough*

Zero strawmen. You've come after me personally via hyperbolic meme. I'm highlighting what real things I disagree with and that are represented in this very thread. Now you're accusing me for defending myself against ad hominem. I didn't just invent those positions out of air. They are in this thread and are the things I disagree with.

Feel free to respond to my actual post if you want my actual positions on something specific. My primary beef has been the repeated and unsubstantiated claims this is an engineered bioweapon. I don't even understand the other claims and have barely responded to them. I only highlight that because this is in your "middle" by your meme definition. And most people find those things pretty out of the mainstream.

No idea what that means. Is this a personal complaint against mods arguing their position on a site? Should be seen but not heard?
You're comfortable enough to air your grievances at me and sparkuri @sparkuri is still countering and adding his own thoughts to my links that it hasn't overwhelmed the system in one direction.

You never seem to get the credit you deserve. You are funny as fuck. A lot of what you post I really have no clue about so I kind of zone out after a few sentences but this tickled me.

Splinty @Splinty have a read through this if you have some time, tell me if you think anything contained is worthy of consideration or discussion

Coronavirus: “Cures” Worse Than the Disease | Minds

Is all of that a

Most of that is social response. My focus, as it is the area I actually understand to read, is the virus and it's known health impacts. Does it kill you? Whered it come from? Is there a vaccine possible? Is it here to stay? How do you stop from getting it?
I can analyze the papers showing down trending contagious values for instance. But that's all I'm here for. But that's the current. So I'm alive and noisy. The pervue of what that data means is anyone's guess...

For instance, here's a response to me posting the downtrending R0 values...

Keep in mind why it's better.
Families have been torn apart, thousands beaten, government suppression, buildings welded shut, Lysol cannons in the streets, totalitarianism in full-force.
Americans are not prepared for that, physically, psychologically or materially.

If the RO is 1.4 for the Chinese, the same genetics, climate, and measures would have to be assumed to attempt to mirror those numbers.

To which I agree. The Chinese containment model is authoritarian and harsh. And I don't see it being accepted here. So it's a fair knock on the data model I posted in applying it to the USA outbreak.

That link makes that kind of jump. It is making many future predictions. As I've said, we don't even know if this is going to be endemic yet (though the virus guys linked many seem to think so, which is counter to the WHO that think a single season containment might still be possible). I have no clue what government response will happen. But we can look at the Spanish flu to see some control and and silencing for various reasons including war morale boost. I've posted about that for historical reference earlier.

But again, I've no idea what's to come. I only know the science current says is probable for the virus in healthcare and healthcare needs. Not humans and government panic buying or what can legally be done on quarantines.

Do you find WHO to be a 100% trustworthy source of information and transparent facts?
100% ??? No. It's a multigovernment organization that is a big bureaucratic machine. It's going to have slow response and a global focus. It's the whole reason they won't drop the P (pandemic) word right now. They arent trying to kill anyone. But they are just scientist telling officials data and then the officials have to pull the trigger with huge ramifications. I have not seen a lot of WHO data that is considered bad. It's a common standard, if not understood to be a bit slow to update due to committee. I wouldn't take a single WHO scientist as gospel, but I would take their overall data as it comes joint created. Officials on the other hand telling you what's coming? That's like the pandemic word. Should we do it now? Maybe. It's a hard call. I'm not a public health expert as I've repeatedly said. I'm a clinician (star trek meme again). The public health piece of officials saying it's time to make major global social moves is what officials do. And like China cracking down... was that the right answer? I dunno. It worked. But people were being put in storage container trucks to ship them away. Sheepdog @CreativeClassMauler makes a good point that we could do more economic damage preventing the virus than the virus might make. Again, I don't know. But that's the stuff those WHO officials have to decide and it's going to be rightfully contentious no matter what with something like this. Their data though? I would trust as a default, then work out. Not the other way around.

Im sure. but I have been reading your post and listening to what you're saying. I take the time to read your links.

My point is that it's not really the middle in general parlance. Hell i don't even want to argue with you about it to change your mind. I find your posts interesting. I hate that you're in the middle of the damn outbreak there, but find the social response coming just as unknown and wild as you do.

But if we are gonna sticky (site promote) a thread ,as has been requested, that has real public health results I am going to call out the areas I disagree medically. I see the posts about bioweapon and what not panic inducing and not benign. That's my concern.

And if people "panic", they are going to do what? Prepare to defend themselves health wise and stock up on food. What's the harm in that?

Run on stores. Supply shortages before supply chain can correct.
Coronavirus hysteria is leading to mass mask shortages. For health care officials, they're essential. For Chinese Americans, they're a lifeline home. - CNN

One worry is mask shortage in healthcare settings where it's most needed. This has already begun in some areas. The Surgeon general did a terrible tweeting trying to stop this today. And mask needed for sick patients and instead people are buying boxes to when wear they are well which has very limited utility, and in many cases actually harm as people touch their face more often wearing them.

Panic gets people to go to their doctor more and if you don't need to go to your doctor you don't want to. Just more disease spread and taxing the system when there are developing needed cases for healthcare workers. This happened a lot in SARS and swine flu. Every cold was going to the emergency department overwhelming resources.

There was an owner of a construction company on the radio last week saying that he had to back out of several jobs because all local home depots, lumber stores, pharmacies, grocery stores etc... we're sold out of face masks, so he couldn't have his crew scrape popcorn ceilings, do demolition remodels aND other various jobs with dust. I'd imagine he eventually found a source online, but it's pretty ridiculous. From what I've been reading the face masks do little to nothing for those not infected.

we go through a lot of these N95 filters at my work. Use them when caving. Caves are warm and humid, so fungus/mold/bacteria do well. Plus, lots of animals utilize caves as a refugia and they shit all over the place. Lots of dust and pollen in the stagnant cave air too.

I haven’t seen any filter shortages in TX yet, but I was thinking I should go grab a couple boxes. Kind of a secondary response I guess to “gotta get before they’re gone”. I have to think about keeping our employees safe/healthy, and I consider these filters a component of our company’s policy regarding employee safety.
