It's a shame, but it looks like a lot of sporting events are going to be fucked up for the coming year.

I think it should all be shelved for the time being till this sorts itself out. I love sport, but it's a spectator market and that at the moment is pretty irresponsible.

Just have them finish like they were going to start. Once the grid is set, the race is sort of pointless.

The fumes from the gasoline/kerosene will sterilize the air, no problem!

Also Ayrton Senna is my number one hero in sports so this day !

Most boring sport ever.

I'm glad it's been cancelled. Might even save some trees and shit. Or kids and junk.

I’ve never really watched F1, but I did recently binge watch the Netflix series about it. I like it now!

that documentary is way more exciting than the races. You dont have to be an f1 fan to enjoy drive to survive, but f1 race will still bore you to death

Don’t know anything about the sport but I’ve started watching the F1 series on Netflix, and I’ve got the fever.

Splinty @Splinty buy an old F1 car. We’ll take your yacht to Monaco next year and shock the Formula 1 world with me behind the wheel. I’ll make you richer than your wildest dreams.

If this happens I'll be really chuffed. Ricciardo is a really top guy, nicest in the sport now Jensen's gone.

The guy hit the barrier at 137 mph, with an impact measure at 53G, the car breaks in half as the front end pass straight through the barrier and he was inside the inferno for 30 seconds.

The guy steps out of the cockpit and walks away with minor burns.

He was undoubtable saved by the cars the Halo and other car safety measures. F1 cars are nuts.

I was watching, and saw the initial crash and immediate fireball. The race was red flagged, and they didn't show anything from the scene of the crash or any replay of it for well over a minute afterwards. I had a horrible feeling that I had watched someone die.

It was a massive relief to see Grosjean alive in the medical car. The halo saved his life for sure, and the fire resistant suit they wear must be crazy good.

George Russell will switch from Williams to Mercedes for the upcoming race to replace Hamilton, awesome news!

Also Haas have confirmed Mick Schumacher (Michael's son) will drive for them next year:
