Maybe he saw a major, major fuck up.

So big that he knew going to his superior would have meant a cover up.

Look what has happened.

He had zero trust in his immediate superiors and zero trust in the commander in chief.

Guy is a goddamn hero in my book.
It seems he may have tried to go through the proper channels and that his superiors weren't taking the problem seriously enough.

He probably knew he might be fired as captain of the aircraft carrier, but he did what he did because it was in the interest of saving lives.

Thats not how this works. The term loose lips sink ships is not a fallacy or to be taken lightly. Don't join the military if you want to do your own thing. Thats day 1 shit

The acting secretary specifically pointed out the case of Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher, in which President Donald Trump directly intervened to reverse the military's decision to demote him and then blocked Navy SEAL leaders from initiating a review of whether he should remain a Navy SEAL.

Gallagher, an ardent supporter of Trump's presidency, was previously found guilty of taking a picture with the corpse of an ISIS fighter. While Gallagher was found guilty of the one charge, he was acquitted of the several others, including murder.

Trump's intervention prompted the resignation of Richard Spencer, Modly's immediate predecessor. Following his resignation, Spencer described Trump's actions as a mistake.

"What message does that send to the troops," Spencer, who is a former Marine officer, previously said. "That you can get away with things. We have to have good order and discipline. It's the backbone of what we do."
@conor mcgregor nut hugger you recently accused me of always taking the military side (as if that's a singular entity btw) and I said I didn't. I just keep some disagreements off the internet.

From that article there's one I disagree with. Gallagher should be in a cell and Spencer should have never had to resign in response. Although i guess I'm disagreeing with trump (commander in chief) and not the Navy officials like Spencer at the time.

I can't reiterate this enough, the Navy likes the swallow penis. That is all.

Just think, if you had tried harder at school you could have been on one of those boats full time, all the cock you could handle.

Cousin sent me this text just now. He's only been out of the Navy around 2-3 years and still has contact with a lot of sailors at his job as a counselor at a VA hospital:

The acting Secretary of The Navy (whose qualifications included 7 years as a Navy helicopter pilot and most importantly being a Trump donor) told the entire Teddy that the commanding officer of one or our most powerful and strategic assets was too stupid and naive for the job. You don't get that job by being stupid and naive. This whole thing is a tragedy and Thomas Modly should be drowned at sea, or at least fired.

The bolded part illustrates my biggest point - that this wasn't simply a blunder by Crozier but an act of desperation. He was looking to save lives, period.

People in our country are usually commended for that, not admonished.

What he did was stupid and naive and a horrible example to set for his sailors. If one of his sailors did that to him they would know what bread and water was all about by now.
