It's almost as if there is a certain percentage of the population that pushes nonsensical, unproven conspiracies onto their fellow uneducated man
I still haven’t updated my carrier settings from months ago or downloaded the new update. That might be part of it. Plus, I’m not poor so I don’t use android.
Not only that, you have to turn it on and opt in.

well hypothetically...if it gets to the point that you will be forced to quarantine/get tested/not see family members/not work/have your children taken away(single parent or both parents contact traced) etc just for walking near somebody who had a single positive test... then it is a slippery slope and lots of people will not be OK with it.

Privacy invasions don't usually go away once they are enacted or pushed, once they get their foot in the door they don't let it close.
Personally I know our phones are tracking and data collection devices already so it is no surprise, not that I think any of it is cool or even constitutional.
It didn't occur 2-3 weeks back.... The outage happened in the middle of June and the software update happened about a month before that....

I read about it approx 2-3 weeks ago(or so)...checked my android phone...then posted in a thread here...I think the thread was about cellphone outages
Timeline isn't really important though IMO...the ongoing trend of tech up in our shit is what I believe warrants discussion and our focus.
Why would they need a network outage to push an update? That doesn't even make sense.
I speculated about the outage...I never once said that was the reason...only thing I was certain about was that my phone had been auto updated with that contact tracing stuff.
Outage happened the same week as I was told there was contact tracing potential on our phones.
So, I just threw the post in that thread because it was an active thread about cellphones.
Do you purposely look up sites with bad info? It seems to happen to you a lot. The software update was pushed in May.
Do you just love arguing? I read lots of stuff and never claimed to know when it was pushed out. You don't know where I read it so you don't know if the website I read it on is Bad Info or not?
I don't care when it came out, I only posted about when I personally became aware of it.
