I find it interesting more are testing the waters... Odd timing that Zuffa's allowing this now, since they were snatching up everyone they could to stifle bellator and anyone else that may threaten their stranglehold on the sport.

Rumor has it Benson Henderson is testing the waters.

Why wouldn't they? At this point you can probably make more in Bellator with purse and sponsorship.

I'd love to see the UFC lose some big players to Bellator and make him start paying his fighters right.

Doesn't it make tactical sense for them to almost encourage it now as a defence against accusations in the big lawsuit?

Good thing for the sport either way, thought it'd suck seeing the recent version of Benson Henderson fighting elsewhere. Oddly, the best fights might actually be in WSOF, not particularly interested in seeing fight any of the Bellator WWss. Bellator LWs could be interesting though.

Per Dave Meltzer in latest WON:

Benson Henderson is going to let his contract expire and test free agency. I believe his 11/28 fight in Seoul, South Korea, will be the last or is nearing the end of his contract. Thiago Alves pulled out of that main event with a broken rib and Henderson will now be facing Jorge Masvidal to headline. Because Henderson is partially Korean (his mother is Korean), he was the key to the main event.
Bellator would obviously be interested in adding Henderson to their lightweight division.

I like it. Everyone should gauge & understand their market value. Otherwise they risk money in their pockets, being left at the negotiating table.

The sponsor thing is major. If ufc wouldn't let me have that I'd be trying to find somewhere that would.

Im glad more and more fighters are testing the waters. this isn't a surpise tho, the rumor has been out for months. im sure bellator and company know what they are doing by adding more shows next year. I also believe coker when he said his phone has been ringing. the thing is, many fighters still have multiple fights on their ufc contracts. I didn't expect a mass exodus like others did. instead, little by little, fighters will start testing the waters and see what their value is. even if the ufc keeps their man, it will only drive up the fighters worth. that is all ive wanted in mma as of late. competition so that fighters could be treated better.

I would also like to see kennedy and mittrione in bellator. I hope bmma could build a solid roster next year.

Go get the money. Bendo ain't getting any younger and he's probably not going to hold another title in the UFC.
