Starting to sound like WWE jumped the gun with Odyssey Jones. He's the one who was granted a protection order against his ex, so she might have been the aggressor.

No clue, apparently they were on a cruise or something, but this was the report I read:
“In his petition to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orange County, Florida, however, Palmer alleged he was the target of multiple incidents of harassment and threats from his ex-partner, stemming from an incident on a cruise ship in May 2024, which he says included physical attacks against him. Palmer claimed, according to court filings, that his ex-partner’s behavior was escalating and that he felt he was in “imminent danger”
The Florida court on September 6, 2024, first granted Palmer a temporary injunction for protection against dating violence, a court order intended to restrict contact or proximity with the person named in the petition, often in response to allegations of abuse or harassment. Judge Alison A. Kerestes has since extended the order twice: first for two months on September 17, through November 17, 2024, and then again last Monday, January 6, 2025, for an additional three years, into early 2028.”
The petition goes on to describe multiple incidents where Palmer was allegedly attacked.
One of those took place in December 2023 at a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. Jones claims his partner showed up at a hotel room “uninvited and unannounced and attacked me in front of my friend and other witnesses.”It also describes an incident on a May 2024 Caribbean cruise where the partner attacked him when intoxicated because “she believed I interacted inappropriately with another female. She became increasingly more irate and started punching, slapping, and kicking me. She was screaming at me the whole time. I attempted to defend myself from her attack by hugging her arms to her side.”
So as happens often enough, possibly a case of chick went batshit crazy, and attacked him, and he had to restrain her to defend himself, but if that causes a single bruise, suddenly he's the one getting interrogated by police about it and is automatically assumed to be the bad guy.
They fired him amid DV allegations, it's not like they can't rehire him.
I saw a video statement he put out. He’s accepting bookings now and seemed very positive, even thanking WWE for the opportunity. Hopefully they do the right thing and at least pay him his downside guarantee considering he got screwed. Shame he lost the run he had with New Day because of this BS.
