Where as Marvel has established themselves and their track record for the MCU is insane. Plus with the new characters appearing on screen together Civil War may have that same magical feel that the Avengers had.

Though I'm a DC fan and love both Batman and Superman, Marvel has my vote.

I'm worried about DC too. They're going really big, really fast. The Batman they're using, the true Dark Knight Returns comic arc, is very deep and brooding. He's had a lot of fucked up stuff happen to him, like Robin being killed by Joker. I'm not sure if they'll be able to do that version of Bats justice in a film he's sharing with all of those other heroes and villains.

I hope they pull it off. I've always loved Marvel, but Batman and Superman have always been the only reason I kept up with DC.

And what's up with Doomsday? I think they're throwing him out there too soon. He's one of, if not the, most powerful villains DC has. They could build him up the way Marvel has done Thanos.

Anyway, I voted Civil War in the poll, but only because of Marvel's established track record. If DC pulls off this Batman vs Superman movie like I'm hoping they will, they could give us some very exciting movies in the future. I'm glad they've got Snyder to match Marvel's ace, Joss Whedon.

The next 2-3 years should be great for comic nerds like us.

Easy call for Civil War, which is winning 4-0 at the moment.

Cap 2 was one of the best MCU films. That's enough to make me excited for Cap 3.

I didn't like the last Superman film, and WW and Lex look awful in the previews.

I've heard that too. I still think it's cheapening a potentially huge villain. I feel like they're wasting him by using him this early in the franchise, but I guess they've got to have a villain dangerous enough to get Batman, Superman, and the others to unite.... But it doesn't mean I have to like it...

Now, Suicide Squad looks fantastic. I actually think Jared Leto is going to be a good, albeit different, follow up to Ledger's Joker. I also like how it's giving Batman and Joker a history before a stand alone Batman film.

RANT WARNING:
Because of this I'm not looking forward Suicide Squad. I love the Joker and I'm not crazy about his look. I'm sure Leto will nail the part because he's a solid actor but I don't like the look they're going with. I'm a fan of a clean cut looking Joker (which is why i didnt like Ledger's version) but the grills and tattoos rub me the wrong way. I don't mind tattoos on Joker but the fact that they're Joker themed is what bothers me.

I was turned off by Leto's Joker look at first, but when I saw what they were doing with the Suicide Squad's look, kind of giving them a modern grunge-type makeover, I became okay with it. After Ledger got all of his acclaim for his portrayal of Joker, if Leto went back to a Jack Nicholson-type of traditional Joker, it would've been viewed as a cop out. That, and the fact that he wouldn't match the look of the rest of the villains in that universe.

The tattoos strike me as the type the Joker would get. Everything in his world revolves around clowns, carnivals, and jokes. The "Damaged" tattoo also fits, because he's psychotic and is aware of it.

The gold teeth.... meh. I think it completes the look they're going for, but I can take them or leave them.

Captain America: Civil War gets my vote. Even though they've changed the storyline, I'm willing to give Marvel the chance because of all their recent success. As far as DC goes, its going to take a lot for me to get over the fact that Afleck's playing Bats.

Romero was excellent. He's what I think of when I think of the Joker as well. He had the best laugh in my opinion for sure. I also loved Ledger's version. He made the Joker a darker, modern-day, 21st century psychopath, and he did it without really having much to draw on as far as sources. That version basically came out of his head, which makes it more compelling to me, personally.

Leto's Joker, as best I can tell from the previews, seems to be somewhere in between. He's show a few times in the previews wearing a modern purple suit and looking more traditional. He's also show seeming more dark and disturbed, though not to the extent of Leger's Joker. He's got more of a punk rocker kind of thing going, which seems to be an effort to keep the character modern. I'm not sure how dark they go with him, it's hard to tell from the limited footage we've seen, but my guess is he won't go as far down the rabbit hole as Ledger.

The Nolan Batmans were pretty good to me. The definitely the best since Batman Returns. I liked them, except for the whole Bane origin angle. I think that if Ledger hadn't passed and appeared in the third movie as planned, it would have been much, much more epic.

I think Affleck is going to be great for the type of Batman they're trying to portray. Snyder said he drew on the "Dark Knight Returns" comics from the 80's, which show a different Bats than any other that we've seen. He's old, he's bitter, he's cynical to an amazing extent, and he's pretty physically and mentally broken down. Judging by Affleck's drama roles, I think he'll nail this shit.

I am more excited for Civil War. If I recall, DC gave in to Marvel and moved Batman v Superman back after the movies ended up on the same release dates. DC also has the weakness of not introducing characters as well. Batman and Superman are iconic enough to not need a detailed movie backstory, but other heroes such as Aquaman and Wonder Woman are another story.

I'm as excited as shit for both. BvS has quite a few red flags but I'm still looking forward to it next week.

I was already hype for CA:CW. Now Spider-Man? Oh I am so fucking in.
