No, I think because I was Dana's mom they were very respectful but not looking to be friends, Dana was good friends with some of them, Tito, Chuck, BJ Penn and some of the others. Tito was at my place in Boston & Chuck & his son stayed at my house at the beach with Dana & his kids for a long weekend. At most of the fights there were a lot of friends and family so we kind of hung together
I have to say I don't ever see him leaving the ufc, he does really love his job. In the beginning of Dana being with the ufc I never thought they would be as big as they have gotten so I didn't really see a golden egg, but I was constantly telling him to keep his feet on the ground & remember where he came from & the people who were there for him.
In general or in mma?
I would have to say in general....would like to hear both but if I had to choose, in general.......and thanks for coming back online and answering questions again.
We just had the suit dismissed just recently, cindyO wrote a public apology that's been posted on twitter, I have a few other places it will get posted, she got booted off the ug & is no longer doing any work for zuffa, other people were getting dragged into it by cindyo so we reached an agreement which of course I can't discuss. People tell me they can pull it up by searching the lawsuit which is June White v. Cynthis Ortiz, it was in the NH Federal District Court. A couple law firms wrote about it on their sites, I'll try to find those.
I don't, I never liked cooking, there's a dish that our family likes, I guess it's like chipped beef, but it's creamed tuna over crackers, sounds and looks awful but we like it.Good to have you back!
Do you cook a lot and do you have a special dish like most moms?
It wasn't really Whitey's people, but there was someone looking for him, said he was going to kill him. I know the person & he's married with a family & his own business so I would never say who.
Dana had no idea what he wanted to be, getting him through high school was a chore. I was always giving advise and helping him out, when they were loosing all the money with the ufc, he was stressed to the max and would call me 4, 5, 6 nights a week usually at 3 or 4 am, I remember the night he called saying Lorenzo was pulling the plug because they had lost too much money, the ufc almost wasn't.
It's so unlike Dana to deny people money and respect.
Did the guy tell him to leave town, or did Dana just want to get away from the situation? I ask because he left and became a very wealthy public figure. Did he ever fear being tracked down?
I'm sitting in a dental chair bleeding out and starving, getting a crown.
I imagine my gums look like chipped beef right about now.
But I will be eating ensure during St.Patty's day, gawtdammit...:-(
