I think Rashad is just boosting his cred as an analyst because he's called two big upsets in the last couple of months, people always talk about the picks you get right and the ones you pick wrong get long forgotten. So he picks DC and if DC wins Rashad looks like a genius if DC loses ehhh he was just wrong.

Here's how I see it, based on the previous fight.

Jones has a massive advantage at distance, and with his wrestling. He took Daniel down almost whenever he wanted to, and Daniel couldn't get him down to save his life aside from the one he got. DC's success mostly came in the clinch with dirty boxing, and I don't see him having a chance in any other facet of his game. If he starts landing more often than he did in the first fight, Jones has the ability to take him down, or fight him at distance. Jones is also the best we have ever seen at smothering opponents (in my opinion), so I wouldn't even give DC the advantage in the clinch, where I mentioned before that he had the majority of his success in the first fight.

Think of how the fight ended. DC had a single leg on Jones and Jones was so sure that DC was not going to get him down that he put his hands in the air while bouncing on one leg. Do you think there's a chance at all that DC, who was an Olympic caliber wrestler, has made such leaps and bounds in his game that he will be able to get Jones down this time? When his age is taken into consideration along with the amount of time he has worked on his wrestling in his life, the law of diminishing returns can be applied. There's no way he's improved enough to get Jones down at will.

DC's only chance, in my opinion, is to land a shot that REALLY hurts Jones. Jones has been historically good at taking shots and slipping them just enough to not get rocked, but I don't doubt that DC can land something to hurt him. I doubt that he will, but I don't doubt that he can.

The mentality of Jones is a big factor here. A lot of guys have situations like his and they lose their confidence or their focus. A lot of times, a crazy lifestyle helps professional greatness because it serves to distract from the immense pressure. In this particular match up though, I think the physical gifts of Jon Jones are so substantial that they will override any personal issues. He is arrogant enough to not lose the zone like so many other troubled athletes do.

Overall I'd say Jones wins as easily as he did the first time (which wasn't a cake walk, but wasn't exactly a nail biter either). Jones -250.

DC needs to watch this video before he fights the real Champ again.

I thought DC was doing fairly well in the stand up, then the eyepoke break happened, then Jones hit that brutal body kick. Changed the whole mood of the fight from that point. Then DC went for takedowns for pride (I think, thats just an opinion) and cost himself some valuable offense.

In this fight however, feel like Jones is going to take it. He seems very composed, looking healthy, and has the mental edge of already beating DC.

Will fully admit there is some bias, since Cormier hasnt been my favorite as or late, but sticking by Jones over DC by decision. Maybe even surprise sub. Certainly excited though

i'm not buying that healthy and focused jones... maybe the coked out Jones is a better version. healthy Jones might be more reserved and not take risks cuz he's a sober square now.

So you watched that fight and thought that an eyepoke was the difference between the guys that you were watching?

Not at all. It was just far more competitive until Jones landed the kick. I'm not saying JBJ purposely did the eyepoke for strategic reasons. The eye poke happened, they broke for a bit, then Jones landed a nice kick to the body. From there, DC seemed less aggressive for a time, then recovered and appeared to be focused on the TD.

I could be wrong, this is from memory from the live viewing.

Jones proved overall to be the superior fighter, stuffing all but one takedown (which he got right back up), while being able to impliment the striking game in the later rounds.

Now why would Rashad bring up USADA?
First question I asked myself. But I think we know the answer. We know Rashad, we know the participants involved (DC and Jones) and we know why he threw that shit out there.

LOL!!!!!

Rashad, we can see you coming from a mile away!

Yeah, I think I interpreted your statement incorrectly. I actually have the same opinion about the eye poke in Rumble vs Gus. You have a very good point.
