So Conor is obsessed with this fight, asks the UFC for this fight, they give it to him and he pulls himself out. Sounds like a broken fighter to me

I think this is a game of chicken at this point. Conor might be over estimating his worth but ZUFFA is most likely down playing how valuable he is right now to shows like 200 or NYC.

Either way I'm not buying that it's as simple as Conor not committing to media stuff.

Bingo. Connor has me as a fan for life now because of this. He's pulling what no one else has ever had the balls to do.

Didnt Nick get pulled for not showing up?

If Conor wants more money thats his deal but they have given him everything he asked for. Hell even long time champs that defended many times dont get immediate rematches because they ask for them. He needs to realize without the UFC he isnt even Ben Askren.

Yes but Diaz has a complete career that the exact opposite of Conors as far as willingness to playball. One of McGs trademarks has been his ability to promote and sell fights along with making WAY more time to interact with fans compared to most.

UFC used this as a reason to justify him getting Nate at 200 but again ZUFFA and Nate also have a lot to gain from this so it's not "here's something for your hard work on us, were even now...".

Right now both parties need each other but it feels like a power struggle from my chair. I think you last line about askren is a massive stretch. Not even talking fight skills but Conor is and will always be a bigger name and draw then Ben could dream of.

La Paix @BirdWatcher I'll say this..... If he ACTS like one and...... SHIT MAN!!!! YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING!!!!! :D
He asks for the Nate fight, only to duck him? How's that in any way logic deductive reasoning to you?

He's asking for what he thinks he is worth, a thing more fighter I hope will do in the future. That is what is happening here. Sticking it to Dana can be nothing but applauded in my book, for GSP, Mitrione, and all the fighters he disrespected. Good stuff.

Maybe he popped. Or just shook from what's happened the past couple weeks.
I figured it was his friend dying last weekend that probably put him over.. I know many who are at the point of "Why does it matter and why continue to punish myself for this?" You can see it in their fights exactly when that point hits. So many are disillusioned with Zuffa finally...
