Just got this reply...
"I reviewed your information and I would like to invite you to come join our Amateur MMA Program. To live at the facility in the dorm rooms costs $500 a month + you pay $125 a month for training."
Looks like I'm planning on moving shop to ABQ soon!
Man, I really don't want to be negative but think you just got scammed. My guess is that once you get there, you will find that anybody off the street can join the Amateur MMA Program if they sign up for $125 a month for lessons.

I'm also guessing that they sent out a whole lot of these invites, to more fighters than they really have room to accommodate, knowing that most prospective fighters won't go ahead with moving out there.

They might have done some cursory examination of your record, past opponents, etc. to see if you are worth putting some time into to see if they can make more money off you later if you go pro. But I think this is pretty much a one sided deal. They're not taking much of a leap of faith with you. They have nothing to lose, you're paying to be there. On the upside, yes, I'm sure the training will be fantastic.

yeah its possible. But my younger brother is currently training in thailanda and that costs him 1200 bucks a month for room and boarding plus training. I got some motha fucking catching up to do because he is now 2-0 in muay thai. I cant leave the country right now so new Mexico is the next best thing I suppose

I appreciate your level headed response. I just think fighters need to be careful not to lead with their heart too much, and also think about the financials and who is making what off of you. Reaching your dreams shouldn't mean fighting for 8k/8k for a promotion worth billions.
