The reason cyborg isnt promoted and respected is because she refuses to bow down and kiss dana's feet like certain blonde and bearded ones have done. Its kiss danas ring and get special treatment or dont and get left out in the cold. Sorry but Cyborg can and more likely will doing better in Bellator and I hope soon.
who has happened to run thru any will opponent the UFC can find, strangely none of the Stars of the UFC have been willing to fight her...go figure.
Thats because shes a massive powerlifter who couldnt make weight with any of the stars. This new division gives them options now. But going up will be dangerous for anyone with that beast in the midst.
Cmac turns down whoever the hell he wants. He fights on his schedule not the promotion's. Disrespecting Cyborg for doing the same is BS.

He actually holds a belt (s) and headlined 4 PPV'S last year. He's not turning down fights...he's picking the fighters he wants to fight. Big difference.
Cyborg holds no belt in the UFC. And turned down two fights for the belt in a division that she was begging for them to create. Her reason? She can't make the weight in 8-10 weeks.

Cyborg is such a weird case. By most accounts of people who know her personally, she's a really sweet person. I want to root for her. The UFC is in the wrong in a lot of the way that she has been treated, but I also feel like her management has done her a disservice in a lot of ways. Tweeting for her in ways that are way outside of her character, calling people out left and right when they know the fight won't happen in the current landscape.... there's just a lot of missteps and I don't personally think that they are all on her, but they really have hurt her brand. I hope she can slide into this division and take the title and this looks like a blip on the radar, or that she at least gets the shot to show what she can do against someone like Holm.
Holly is literally getting a title shot on a 2 fight losing streak, months after Ronda is getting one after getting her jaw smashed to pieces....
Most fighters want to keep their health and not die from a weight cut...
Most fighters camps are 12-16 weeks...
In Conor's case I'm sure he turned down fighters and the UFC offered him other ones, unfortunately the UFC isn't giving the same courtesy to Cyborg. They offered TWO fights, ouuuu so many choices, but not really because they know she has a tough time making weight cuts and could have easily given her some more time to prepare.
Cutting weight isn't magic and becomes more difficult as the years stack up. If Cyborg wants to continue fighting for many more years like I want her to, she can take all the time she needs.
Yes she needs to stop with the barking if she can't back it up with her bite. but that's nothing new in this sport
