Stick with me here for a moment. Of course, your family builds or breaks your character, but TV is a very close second. I know I am one of the older members here, being 40. So if I take an introspective moment and think about what really formed who I am today, there are 3 things: My dad (he died when I was 12, but still his construction worker/brick layer/biker attitude is probably why I never sugar coat anything and apparently refuse to play nice with anyone, even if its not intended as such on my behalf), The Simpsons, and Married With Children. (Again, if you question my irreverent nature - watch that shit, and figure how it would effect you in the long run if you were 10 years old, but you totally embraced it. Here I am.) I really think the latter 2 gave me my crass sense of humor. And my dad, well, he was, using a description for the Dark Tower Series here, he was 'a hard caliber'. No, he never beat me. But I did catch a wicked backhand from him once - the only time he ever struck me. I've said before here Im not a liar, a thief, a litter bug or an abuser of animals. I get that from my dad. The one thing you didn't do to my dad was lie. If you lied to him, and he found out - welcome to You'reFuckedTown: Population You. If anyone wants, I'll share the story about the backhand, as it is, in retrospect, kind of amusing. But again, I am off topic here. I look at who I am, and why I am that way, and the 2 things that I totally connect with are The Simpsons and Married with Children. Both of which I just found on Kodi. How fucking awesome is that? Time to get some Al Bundy and prime teen Christina Applegate on. However none of that changes my original question, what TV has influenced your life the most?

Wow. First scene of the pilot episode.

"Cmon Bud. Haven't we talked about this before? Sneaking up behind your sister, pulling her hair, pretending to kill her? Remember how that effected grandma?"

Probably that one where the kid gets in trouble in philidelphia and has to move to Belair with his aunt and uncle.

Think it was called family matters

M*A*S*H*

first 'grown-up' show that I was allowed to watch, really shaped by view of government and war, and my sense of humor.
And it was on every afternoon in syndication as I got older...so it was regular after-school viewing.
