been living in this apartment with hardwood floors for a month, just noticed now my desk chair has made some pretty serious scratches (like half moon grooves from one of the chair legs), will folding up a towel and placing it underneath be enough to prevent further damage?

Regardless I will probably not be getting my security deposit back

Get some of these. Peel and stick pads for your chair legs.

Just moved and landlord-lady and her daughter stormed in like wild bitches. Wanted to have money for every little shit and it took a smooth operator to handle them claws.

Biggest thing was about the wooden floor. There used to be ovens in the apartment (decades before we moved in), where is still clearly visible on the floor. Around those parts there are some black spots, one is particularly big.
She came at us asking what we did there very aggressively, and told us we are going to have to pay for a new floor since this wont be fixable. She has pictures of the state before we moved in and it wasn't there and yada yada.
I didn't really engage and just said she is going to have to make all those claims in writing. Only her daughter who had another stupid comment I smiled in her face and said "funny how these spots are just where the ovens used to be".

Then she claimed her handymen made the floor before we moved in and it was in top-state. Which of course wasn't the case. Anyhow, she actually called one of em and told him to come. I thought this was a simple tactic of hers just getting some doll to put more pressure on us. Lame and wouldn't affect me at all.

Dude came, a Polish gentleman called Michal. Michal told her, he doesn't remember actually doing this floor. He furthermore told her, these black spots are very deep and very old! They've been there since decades!
It took all my control to not literally rolling on the floor laughing on that black spot. Of course she was shocked as shit and actually began berating him and threatening him! Hahahahahaha.
Stupid bitch didn't even had her act together.

Sure why not? Do you wonder about the name-calling? I call a bitch a bitch, deservedly so. Read the whole post to get a tiny glimpse why. I think I have called my ex-landlord the devil a couple times here already, I wasn't joking.
Both her and her daughter are loathsome bitches.
