UFC on Fox 25 has its first bout. The next Fox show, scheduled for July 22nd in Long Island, NY, will play host to a light heavyweight bout between ranked fighters Gian Villante and Patrick Cummins.
Newsday was the first to report news of the bout.
Villante (15-8, 5-5 UFC) is coming off a TKO loss to Shogun Rua in Brazil last month. The three-time Fight of the Night winner has alternated losses and wins over his last six bouts overall.
Cummins (9-4, 5-4 UFC) ended a two-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision win over Jan Blachowicz earlier this month, coming off a rough first round where he was nearly finished. The previous losses came via TKO to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Glover Teixeira.…
