FYI Also no guarantee the tree will grow avocados like the one that they grew from...they are like apples in that respect...when from seed the are kind of a random luck of the draw...can be tiny or huge or tiny seed or huge seed or not tasty or tasty
Was just in Hawaii and they have 80+ foot avocado trees just loaded in bad boys....so many that they just drop and get eaten by mongoose and bugs...they got a fucking surplus man
Tried to take 3 back in my luggage and they(TSA) busted me and took me into a room and confiscated my avocados.
Bummer. I'll roll the dice and see what happens. I planted a mini banana tree bulb in my backyard at the start of the season, but I'm only renting the place. Probably should have kept it in a container. It should fruit pretty quickly, but not quick enough for me to harvest in the next year.
I'll either dig it up or leave it for the next tenant.
IF you really want an avocado tree then get one 6 or more years old...that is if your environment can grow them.
Banana trees grow in many climate regions...you may need to insulate it during tough winters and freezes.

That's our government. Regulate everything, to include the fruit we can bring in from an OCONUS state for personal consumption.
I prefer to eat them with a spoon...maybe some salt but I like them plain myself.

Me and the lady eat about 3 per day...We get two bags at costco each week.
My breakfast is one egg and half avocado...I eat lite in the AM...I put it in bag with seed in and it is always nice for dinner salads in the PM
LOL not you cut in half vertical and twist and use the half without the seed...the seed keeps the unused half fresh and unoxidized(it thinks it is still alive)

Yep once went to a party and a lady made a shit ton of huac
It was all dark brown...probably 20 avocados worth
She was confused as to why people weren't eating it and I regretfully told her that she forgot the citric acid to keep it fresher and nice and green...She got really freaking sad LOL...but she thanked me days later.
If you forget the citric acid you eat it fast or it looks like

When my wife makes guacamole she adds a little bit of fresh squeezed orange juice with the lime juice. Muy bueno.
That is pretty weird because guacamole is basically a smashed avocado with things added to it, most Mexican people don't add a lot of shit to it doe I just add salt and onion.
I'm gonna have to try the pit technique. This stuff is already starting to go bad. Was hoping it would keep for longer than 24 hours.
