You have people jumping from building to building, skydiving, rock climbing, etc. And then you have the people that travel to N. Korea. They're all dangerous hobbies. So accept the consequences.

I don't think we'll ever know what happened to him, its a tragedy, but one that future north Korean visitors can learn from. When in Rome and all that. Obviously he didn't deserve this, but you have to act accordingly even if you don't agree.

Sucks that it happened to him but im not shedding a tear over here.

A classic example of Darwinism.

I blame the parents as well for financing his trip there.

If my son wanted to go there at 18 or 19 he could of course being an adult but I would try everything in my power to convince him not to go and sure as hell wouldnt finance it.

It was disgusting watching the Dad point fingers at Obama and then Trump and try to place blame.

If my son was in that position Id try to go to NK myself to try to secure his release.

His parents think the story about the sign was fabricated.

I think you are very wrong on this account. North Korea gives zero fucks about many things, but PR is not one of them.

They're ok with putting people in labor camps, but they're not OK with someone dying in their custody. Not in 2017 at least.

That's why Warmbier was released early and flown home.
I disagree. They don't give a fuck and they haven't for decades. Now that they have nukes you can bet it's gonna go on for some extra decades.
There's been negotiations its obvious.
How did Trump administration scored his release I would love to know.

Has anyone watched the full confession? Didn't know he copped to stealing it for a secret society.

Yeah it was an obviously forced confession.

He made a number of clearly stupid decisions, starting with going to NK in the first place. And yeah, I get how dumb people who bring stuff on themselves get little sympathy. A year or two in prison for stealing a poster would be excessive but understandable. I don't want foreigners coming to my country and thinking they can commit crimes, either. Dumbass kid would return home a couple of years older and hopefully a lot smarter.

But 15 years hard labour was insane and now he's dead. He didn't deserve that.

Trump Suggests That Obama Is Responsible For Otto Warmbier's Death:President Trump suggested the former President Obama is partly responsiblefor Otto Warmbier's death. The student was detained in North Korea for the past year, and returned last week in a coma. During a press conference, Trump said the death was a“total disgrace...I think the result would have been a lot different...should have been brought home a long time ago.”

north korea wanted to send him home because it became known that he was in a coma, if he was healthy he would still be there.

Anyone know why the family is refusing an autopsy? Is it on religious grounds?

this is some crazy shit. it is obviously a forced confession but he is haapy as shit to be admitting to his crimes in dpr korea.they must have brainwashed him on some next level shit.if you look at the forced confessions read by POWs in vietnam they confess but they are not happy about it. there is alomost a sense of impending doom while they read it.warmbeir is confessing like he is giving a speech to his church group
